At Pottery Box, our pottery parties in North Cornwall are designed to give you a truly memorable experience—filled with laughter, creativity and a sense of occasion. Whether you’re celebrating a hen party, birthday or special gathering, every session is relaxed, welcoming and full of inspiration.

Each party begins with a short demonstration, introducing simple hand-building techniques such as sculpting, slab-built vessels and tiles. From there, you’re free to create whatever you like, with plenty of guidance along the way. You’ll also have the opportunity to paint your pieces on the same day, choosing from a wide range of colours to make your work completely your own.

Many groups choose to bring their own refreshments—whether that’s champagne and strawberries, birthday cake or something in between. You’re welcome to enjoy, celebrate and create at your own pace, making the experience as social or relaxed as you wish.

For smaller groups of up to six, everyone has the chance to try the pottery wheel. With larger groups, the focus is on sculpting, with a special moment for the guest of honour to enjoy a turn on the wheel.

For hen parties, anniversaries and adult birthdays, each guest will also receive a hand-thrown plate made by Angelique to personalise and sign—creating a lasting keepsake of your day together.

Children’s pottery parties are equally creative and engaging, with each child receiving a party bag that includes clay tools and a ball of air-drying clay to continue the fun at home. You are very welcome to add your own touches to the bags if you wish.

For those travelling to join us, we are happy to help recommend local accommodation and other activities in the area, allowing you to turn your visit into a relaxed and enjoyable Cornish getaway.

If you’re unable to return to collect your finished pieces, we can carefully package and post them to you, ensuring they arrive safely and ready to enjoy.
